Understanding Page Count
Important: Every sheet of paper has two sides (front and back), so each physical sheet equals 2 pages. Saddle-stitched booklets must have page counts in multiples of 4 (e.g., 8, 12, 16, 20, 24…).
Design Tips
Set up pages as individual pages, not spreads
Submit each page as a separate PDF page at the finished trim size — we handle the imposition.
Include bleed on all sides
Add 0.125" bleed to all four edges of every page, including inside pages.
Keep text away from the spine
For saddle-stitch, keep text at least 0.5" from the inside edge. For perfect bound, use 0.75".
Number your pages
Export pages in the correct reading order: cover, inside front, content pages, inside back, back cover.
